Prayer should not be awaited to arise from one's emotions. However, emotions may evolve from one's genuine spirit of prayer. Praying is contrary to the body's natural instincts, therefore, to wait until one feels like praying may lead one never to pray, or seldom pray at all. Often, when one's spirit overrides the soul's indifference to prayer and begins praying against the body's will, the soul is overcome with conviction, resulting in repentance, confession, forgiveness, and renewed joy, all in an instant, in a moment in His Presence.
