Think On This
Seasons of Solitude Seasons of Solitude Seasons of Solitude Seasons of Solitude

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me. Bless His Holy name.

Life and its mysterious turns bring with them unexpected seasons of solitude.

I sense the Lord's return, soon. I look up each day and I can almost see Him in the clouds. Listen! Can you not hear even faintly that heavenly choir, the gathering sounds of heaven's chariots, the rustling of the angels' mighty wings—all readying for that glorious day? My heart yearns for that scene, that moment, to be swept up in great glory. So, while I wait, I watch.

Very much like that vapor God compares our lives to, being blown about by His Spirit. Wherever I go I see Him so much clearer in each new day, in nature, among the people I meet who have momentarily been stirred across my path.

I see Him in my wife He has done marvelous things for in the last year, sharing precious moments in service to Him. Sharing the joy of reliving together those moments of great victory in the Lord. Giving Him Glory! Each wondering aloud where next He will appear, in a moment. So I keep looking for Him, in each moment, in each new face I meet.

Life is precious, each moment to be lived conscious of Him, led by Him, loved by Him more and more. I find a great contentment, as Paul did, in seeing God in every facet of the moment, every moment, every day, even in the mundane.

It is hard to relinquish one moment for the next, because all are so precious, so great! I joy in this season of solitude, before the Wind stirs.
