The
above quote has been attributed to Thomas Jefferson. However, these exact words can be found nowhere
within any of his writings.
Monticello.org gives these brief helpful
comments.
Comments: One source attributes this quotation to Jefferson in The Federalist.4 The Federalist, however, was the work of Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, and James Madison, not Thomas Jefferson; nor does The Federalist contain the text of this quotation. This quotation is vaguely similar to Jefferson's comment in an 1825 letter to William Short: "Some are whigs, liberals, democrats, call them what you please. Others are tories, serviles, aristocrats, &c. The latter fear the people, and wish to transfer all power to the higher classes of society; the former consider the people as the safest depository of power in the last resort; they cherish them therefore, and wish to leave in them all the powers to the exercise of which they are competent."5 To date, however, the most likely source of this quotation appears to be a series of debates on socialism published in 1914, in which John Basil Barnhill said, "Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty."
At Adam2.org, we are not afraid to stand for the truth, especially when it comes to matters of freedom and religion.
For this reason, you may find our stand to be in the minority at times. But we do not bend with the whims of time nor
for a government that impinges on our liberty given by God. We stand with like-minded patriotic Christians in
letting our collective voices be heard. Have you found yours yet? Then speak it boldly!
"Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason toward my country." - Patrick Henry (Speech to the Virginia Convention - 1775)
Exercise your freedoms or loose them!
America is no longer the America you once knew, one that not too long ago protected
these freedoms.
- Amendment I - Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

- Amendment IV- The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
- Amendment V - No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

- Amendment X - The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
After all, has not every sworn official taken an oath before God to uphold our Constitution which guarantees
these freedoms? They are derelict! We must now hold them accountable to their oath.
It is time to awake!
It is time for we, the American people, to come to a new understanding of this new government and how
we are to live within it—live with the loss of these freedoms we once took for granted.
It is time for our re-education of this new reality we live within—this new medical tyranny.
Or, will we choose not to accept it? The choice is each of ours to make while we still have a small window of opportunity.
We now have seen up close and personal what leaders will do when given unlimited power. The power of our Constitution is guaranteed to lie with the people. It is time we take back that power they have abused, many for their own self-serving purposes. What they are imposing upon the citizens must not stand. As previous generations, we must preserve our liberties for future generations.
We ask one simple question we have asked in previous writings:
If You Consent To Wear The Government's Mask Today, Will You Wear Its Mark Tomorrow?
