As I myself draw nearer, I am reminded of a woman I once knew of who said she did not want to go to heaven. When pressed for her reason for such a strange and unbelievable desire she shared that her desires for all that she possesed of earth would have to be sacrificed by her to gain entry. The first thing she mentioned she held so dearly and could not give up was as carnal as her love for food. Imagine. Imagine such a silly yet damnable idol.
Imagine being so lost and confused in your belief of what the future holds for you and the eternal choice you must make—to choose hell over heaven. Unfortunately, too many will make the choice as this foolish woman. Is there something so simple and temporal as this woman's treasure that stands between heaven and hell for you? Jesus once asked: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? - Mark 8:36
