Are these the times foretold by the ancient ones? A very strong case could be made they are.

Unlike in past eras when time and events seemed to pass slowly, in these last days they are accelerated like in no other. We awake each morning to the drumbeat of ever-growing ominous news. We hardly have time to think on them before another wave of unsettling events pierce what little peace we can gather. In bygone days, of just yesterday, people scoffed at God's Word and the things of it. They did not want to hear of such things as described in its Book of Revelation and by Jesus and His Apostles. In fact, God is dead to them! Hedonism (defined), as in ancient times, has once again become the religion of the masses. When taking a closer look at many who have ascended to the top in power and wealth, because of the darkness of their hearts, we find, instead of God, they serve another. Satan has become their new king. Long live Satan!, is their deafening insane cry as they continue their search for the despicable pleasures of their twisted souls.

And now the day likely has come the ancient ones warned us of. There is something different this time than all previous times of national emergency. In an instant, seemingly overnight, we have awakened to find the world being infected by a plague that threatens our very existence--our liberties once protected being stripped from us. We find ourselves being categorized by our governments as to our benefit to the very society in which we helped to create--herded like cattle into groups they best can manage. All for the greater good, they tell us. But we know something is not quite right.

As if the plague, the coronavirus, or COVID-19 they so innocuously call it, isn't enough to give us concern, we sense something sinister bubbling just beneath the surface of their warnings and commands. There is a general consensus we are not being told the complete truth. We have experienced many threats before to the well-being of our society. What makes this so different that causes our governments, mainline businesses and institutions react in such an authoritarian way that affects every aspect of our daily existence--forcibly limiting us to the confines of our own spaces? This violating the very oath our officials took to uphold our constitution enacted to protect our rights given by God. Only He should be able to take them away. (See these charts for context: (1) (2). See also.) So, I can't help to also wonder, is this the vehicle by which the globalists will usher in the one world government prophesied in God's Word? We hear whispers of their aspiring dominance—documented plans of the earth's depopulation. This not to be taken lightly. Look around.

Schools are closed while educators are forced to devise a long-term strategy for distant learning. Parents scramble to find day care for their children while they still try to keep their dual household incomes. Businesses shutter. Industries are shut down. Workers are sent home, in many cases without incomes and very slim possibility they will return. Dining out is not permitted. Public events have been cancelled. All levels of entertainment venues have ceased. Travel is restricted. Streets that were just a few days ago filled with the speed of transportation moving about the people and goods of a robust economy and way of life are now empty arteries of a world in change. We are told not to gather in our normal places of worship. (This should be a clue.) We are told not to gather in numbers larger than ten, maintaining at least six feet apart. And even more frightening, armed checkpoints are being set up at every entrance and exit of many American cities and around the globe. There is a palpable dread in the air! It is so pervasive one can almost smell the stench of it.

Hysteria, panic, fear--these are the things most seen being exhibited by the people who just yesterday went about their daily lives without thought of the fragility of life and the precariousness of our very existence, unprepared for what's coming. Now, we hear whispered from the very lips of those who once scoffed at the things of God things they never thought in a million years they would be uttering--unspeakable things unfolding in number and enormity as His Book comes alive. I hear some saying they never before believed in God but having witnessed so much evil in our modern times, they are convinced of a devil--and if a devil, then logically there must be a God.

So, here we are, at a place many never gave thought of until now! And the question often being heard is: What comes next? We ask our politicians and they say: we don't know, but we're doing our best, all the while acting in such ways that make worse an already serious threat. Where is the confidence in that? We ask our modern religious leaders and they continue to preach peace and prosperity! Where is the comfort in that? If we find no answers in our politicians nor from our so-called spiritual guides, is there any place we can turn in this troubling time that might shine some light on the darker days we all sense are coming? Maybe there is, after all, something in that Book many have previously scoffed at that can speak with greater authority yet give comfort than we are currently getting from those we have chosen to lead us. Unfortunately, in the short-term it doesn't look promising but in the end, for those who believe, there is hope!
