Since our home base is in southern California, where faults and
activities occur in significant numbers, there is a lot of
interest in earthquakes. In association with the United States
Geological Survey (USGS) department and the National Earthquake
Information Center (NEIC), we are pleased to provide for
the public's benefit, free of charge, this resource.
We would like to thank the staff of those organizations for their
dedicated service in the study, collection, and distribution of
information related to earthquakes, especially Madeline Zirbes
of the USGS, without whom this page would not be possible. Our
society is extremely safer today because of their tireless work!
