The book burners are back.
No, they do not raid libraries, higher educations of learning, private homes, churches or anywhere else the censors of their predecessors' day may have arbitrarily chosen to target. Today, they sit in seats of power in the federal, state and local governments.
They also sit in the upper offices of high-rises with a view. They can be found in all major tech companies, print publications, TV, radio and every platform of social media.
They come in all stripes.
They dress in $10,000 Brioni suits. They drive $5 million Bugatti Divo sports cars. They lobby congress for continued immunity from those who would hold them accountable for the out-of-control policies and practices they gradually have instituted which now affect everyone's everyday life. What a life we have given them!
They also sit in their mother's basement. They dress in slouchy, stain-ridden sweat pants (they call them "jogging suits"). While eating Cheetos, they roam the inside of their computer monitors with bloodshot eyes looking for someone they may target for take down for anything they may publish on the internet—matters not where or what. They no longer discriminate but their favorite targets are conservatives, ignoring their liberal radical comrades. They are that embolden—accountable to no one but the big boss who wears the fancy suits, drive the fancy sports cars, who hired them for pennies to do exactly what they do. They do it with impunity—with delight. And their bosses lie to Congress, brazenly testifying they don't.
How many more lives and businesses must these 21st century book-burners destroy before they're stopped? It is time, now, to end this maddening assault on our First Amendment rights!! NOW! We must send to Washington this election year only those who will take seriously their oath to uphold the Constitution, those not beholden to any of these guilty enterprises. We must demand our rights be restored and guaranteed as it is written within that founding document!
