John Chapter 6

III.
CONCLUDING COMMENTS.

A.
John has now shown us the scope of the gospel to include all and exclude none who will simply believe, not understand, but believe -- have Faith. His invitation to His Table is to all, but as these who failed to understand enough to believe, many will turn away by their own choice, but not all:
pointerNathanael did not understand, but believed!
pointerNicodemus did not understand, but believed!
pointerThe Woman at the Well did not understand, but believed!
pointerThe Noble man did not understand, but believed!
pointerThe Impotent man did not understand, but believed!
pointerAnd the Disciples did not understand, but believed!

TRUTH:
ETERNAL LIFE IS POSSIBLE ONLY THROUGH FAITH -- FAITH BEYOND MAN'S OWN REASON TO BELIEVE!

B.
Therefore, one's own reason is his or her main obstacle to receiving and exercising faith in Christ. Knowing this, do not let it be your own downfall. John will show us in his next Chapter this very point illustrated in Christ's own brothers. Let their initial reluctance and subsequent belief be your example, if you have not yet allowed your heart to receive what has been spoken to your reason.
