In His Presence

Prayer Meditation 33
When Praying, Remember That The Ascent Is Never The Same.

Because our lives are so dynamic, pre- and post-conditions to prayer are ever-changing. Results from these conditions have a direct bearing on the obstacles, distractions, influences, and origins of our prayers. Sometimes, the ascent is effortless and smooth, with few deterrences, but at others we fail and walk away in total frustration, or never achieve the fullness of expression of the heart's intent in going. Why? Sometimes we never make the transition from our heads to our hearts and our words are so lethargic they barely make it past our lips. The oppressor's strength is so strong it is like attempting to walk in gale-force winds. As soon as one foot is lifted to advance, we are blown backwards for our efforts in trying. So, on these occasions, it is best to keep both feet firmly planted, with shoulder to the wind, while waiting for the Master to calm the storm, being prepared for the sudden release and rush ahead when it ceases (Jn.6:18-21). Progress from energy spent, undetected, yet worth it all the while, with ground unyeilded from previous achievements. And though no ground gained, yet none lost! And Satan is defeated once again. Firmly now fixed, with the spirit's roots strengthened in His Foundation.

THIS IS PRAYER!
A Tool and Time Whereby We May Stand Firm And Immovable Against Satan's Onslaught.
AND SO PRAY:
"Father, may the anchor of my soul ever be firmly fixed in the Rock of your Redemption, and into your calm, heavenly harbor may I someday at last safely sail."
